Move for Hunger's network of socially-responsible relocation companies provides their customers, clients, and residents with the opportunity to donate their food when they move. Members of Move For Hunger also volunteer to host/assist with community food drives, participate in cause marketing campaigns, and create employee giving programs. Since 2009, Move for Hunger has delivered 32 million pounds of food to food banks across the United States and Canada. That’s the equivalent of more than 26 million meals. | Family Promise coordinates local efforts that bring communities together to help families experiencing homelessness regain their housing, their independence, and their dignity. Working with these community partners, they provide temporary housing, meals, and services to more than 125,000 family members annually. | WERC works in cooperation with regional relocation councils to support a student scholarship program for high school seniors. Students apply via a regional relocation council, in this case, MERC. One student will be selected for the regional scholarship and that student is entered into the WERC Foundation for Workforce Mobility scholarship pool. As a result, there is an opportunity to be awarded funds from both MERC and the Foundation. The minimum regional award is $500. Visit MERC Scholarship Resource Page to learn more. Deadline for applicants is March 15, 2023 |
