Session Description: Assignments vs. Permanent Moves – Which is the right decision for your organization?

In the last year, many organizations have undergone transformation. Whether the changes result from the pandemic, border closings, or supply chain shortages, companies have seen the impact internally through changes to leadership, need to invest in new markets (or reinvest in existing markets), and develop technology that supports the way they interact with their customers. As more companies prioritize their goals, they’ll need an agile workforce strategy that can bring in new talent and also provide opportunities to upskill or reskill their existing workforce; often seen in different types of assignments.

For years, companies managed global talent in a traditional method of long term expat assignments.  For many reasons, corporations are looking to transform into more permanent one way moves to retain the talent in local regions.  This session will explore how global mobility leaders are making adjustments to their programs and policies to adapt to the ever changing global talent challenges.
